That Fills Both

The moments washed down
upon the vision
The song within sang
to a chorus that I saw in eyes
That held me upon their gentle reflection.
The night spun upon the apron
that girded her into me
Warm the delight
that smiles back
The soft voice that echoes
out the words that long their roots
seeks the confine of the moment
and whispers into those depths
that a love sojourns
Belongs upon the space
That fills both.

Burned out star

When I am dead and gone
my flesh to earth better worn
what shall old fate say of me
upon the pages of life's melody
When this heart has waged it final woe
to whom shall it say it did go
and where in all of dignity
Shall the soul gather it's serenity.

When these hands have ceased their write
and faded letters appear in sight
Shall the words speak true of poet dead
or shall they be as words unsaid
Who will know the greatest loves
that filled my soul like blessed doves
Shall a tear linger out for me
while far between this world I be.

What of all I dreamt and feared
the passions born, the torments reared
The little words I shared with glee
the promise of love's tender plea
But sure as time shall mark the spot
Shall I have gained all that within I sought
or will the winds but carry me afar
To leave my soul as a burned out Star.

Farewell

Farewell to the wind
that once drew my pen
scribed these thoughts
that now hollow roam
where words no longer
do dwell nor stream.

It's word is said

It was a little word that so captured
every thought, dream and in grown want
I journeyed its deep canyons and nestled tight
to the warmth the words provided and gave
Not so strange that my life beheld its depth
and found that all of me yearned for her.
I don't doubt the seasoned air
that fills that eternal song I hear
that somewhere between the this and the what
She borders closer the reality of the form.
Who truly understand where the birth takes place
where in the silent thought she draws fast her image
to fill these chambers of want and passion
To the delightful nectar of her being.
Such is the serenade of love and it's dream
that ever floats so gently upon all it draws
till filled within, the only escape is out
where echoes but the words of love
Sweet, True, Honest and clear
there is no doubt when love fills
There is no changing once it's word is said.

Words that flow

They say that within love
All answers are contained.
That within loves prism
God there is named
That a love that is true
holds the brightest hue
for its speaks out all that's thine
into the heart of the great divine.
Love breeds pure and clean
travels out against what's obsene
purifies us all to know
That by which love does grow.
This temple of the purest heart
revolves where time has its start
comes full circle to hold one true
To the words that flow, In me, In you.

My Prayer

Baruch ata adonai elohainu melech ha-olam she-hakol nee-yah bidvaro
Blessed art Thou, Lord our God, King of the universe through whose word all things are called into being.

God called, God Formed, God made--the three levels of man Soul, Spirit and body.

The prayer

From heart to heart
the words intoned
The spirit bridges
bears fast the soul
Awakens the moment
Grasps God's hand and cries
That deliverance fills
The healing consumes
That whole to whole
all bodies bound
Three in one
the spirits sound
The Soul true
The spirit awakened
The body whole
It is this O' God
That I seek and pray
Thy will be done
and done thy will.
Let hands guided
thoughts embraced
Hearts true
ways pure
Fill and gather
awaken and fulfill
My Starr to shine
her brightest hew

Bitter Cup

I drink from the bitter cup
that pours the leaven words of life
out upon the marble floor
Where cold as my soul it gathers.
-----------------------------------------
There's a choking within
that hangs itself upon the soft rope
The gallows breath that haunts
Tantalizes the very mind
to the fears of life, the hoarding years
That gather so fast upon the dream
fades the vision, destroys the hope
Somewhere in the lonely exchanges
where hearts pop to the pain
I grasp the final shard
the broken mirror of life
And there scream into infinity
My last breath-good-bye.
